Sitters of portraits painted by Thomas Ball are descended in the artist’s family from the estate of Virginia Gray (the great, great uncle of Gray). Ball (1819-1911) was prominent Massachusetts sculptor, artist and musician. Extensive provenance will be available to buyers.
