Featuring Highlights from the Dr. Clarence Rungee Museum Collection
During the War and over the next 25 years, Dr. Rungee assembled a renowned collection of 500+ flags with specific historical associations, including what is believed to be the largest assemblage of flags from WW II naval vessels in private hands. It includes a state flag flown during World War II from every state capital. Heritage is honored to bring this remarkable collection to the collecting public.
Flag for the USS Augusta, where President Roosevelt and Winston Churchill met to sign the Atlantic Charter. It was also flown on the command ship from which General Omar Bradley oversaw the landings on Omaha and Utah beaches on D-Day.
