Coyle’s Auction is pleased to offer a fine Two Session Antique and Estates Auction in Medway, MA on Tuesday, February 18th. The auction will feature the contents of a fine old Milton, MA home, all fresh to the market offerings collected more than 45 years ago and have been in the home untouched until now. Selected additions from Chestnut Hill, Dover and Wellesley homes and others. The auction will include an eclectic mix of fine antique furniture, porcelain and china, artwork, bronzes, silver, oriental rugs, and much more all sold without reserve. Session 1 at 3:30 PM: CURIOSITIES AND ORIENTAL RUGS;
Session 1 at 3:30 will feature a collection of approximately 1000 glass photo negative slides (mostly 4×5) from a local estate. The negative images are by a Franklin, MA photographer, Nathan Wales, in early 1900s. They feature images of the local areas and people of Franklin, Bellingham, Wrentham, Sheldonville and others. In addition, many images of Oak Bluffs Martha’s Vineyard, Steamships, harbor, families, Gingerbread cottages etc. The negatives are mostly in original sleeves with notes by the Mr. Wales and will be sold in about 15 lots by general location, a rare opportunity to purchase some one of a kind images of a bygone era.
