Merrill’s is proud to offer an amazing assortment of material in our end-of-summer Fine Arts Auction including Early, Mid Century and Modern Furniture and Accessories, Paintings, Prints, Engravings, Books, Oriental Rugs, Silver, Jewelry, Glass, & China.
Of particular note are over 100 lots including paintings, prints and wine to be sold to benefit the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, art and primitives from the collection of noted folk artist Warren Kimble, a Gilbert Stuart oil on canvas portrait of George Washington descending in the same family for over 200 years, a 17th c Italian School of Caravaggio “Lot and his Two Daughters” oil on canvas, Vermont art including two excellent landscapes by Charles Louis Heyde, a watercolor by Childe Hassam, as well as pieces descending in the family of T. S. Eliot.
