Merrill’s is offering an interesting assortment of Toys & Advertising
Preview in person Thursday, October 1st from 1 to 6pm,
and Friday, October 2nd from 8 am until sale time, or by
appointment. Auction starts at 9:45 am.
Featured in the sale is a rare circa 1850 German Toy sample book with 295 spectacular colorful hand colored plates. Also of note are two rare German Mechanical Toys – a windup Mechanical Polar Bear on an Ice Flow and a 5’ long Santa in his Sleigh with two nodding head Reindeer, an extensive collection of Tin Litho Advertising Tins, Puzzle Blocks and Games, Dolls and Bears, Jack-in-the- Boxes, Roly Polys, Holiday Decorations, and much more. This sale also includes Country Furniture and Accessories, including the time capsule-like contents of an old Burlington home brimming with interesting vintage everyday household items, Ephemera, and Collectibles.
