CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — One Source Auctions will present a live auction of photographer J.E. Hale’s Hidden Skylight Studio collection featuring a recently discovered rare photo of Susan B. Anthony on Saturday, September 18. Live and online bidding will start at 3 pm EDT. Early onsite previews will take place Friday, September 17, between 6 and 8 pm, and on Saturday, September 18, at 1 pm before the live auction.

One Source Auctions is bringing the J.E. Hale collection to Canandaigua for the first time. David Whitcomb discovered the framed portrait of Anthony and hundreds of other items in a hidden photography studio located in a building he purchased for his law firm in Geneva, N.Y. Also included in the collection are photographs of other suffragists, props, hand painted backdrops, frames, camera equipment and photographic supplies.
Full-color catalogs are available at a purchase price of $15 each, and catalog purchase is required to reserve a seat at the 250-seat auction facility.
