RHINEBECK, N.Y. — Barn Star Productions said its fall Antiques at Rhinebeck Show and Sale will open its doors at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds Columbus Day Weekend, October 9 and 10 for the second show of the season.
The spring Rhinebeck show in May was the first event to take place in more than a year and a half at the fairgrounds, and show manager Frank Gaglio said the public response was outstanding.
Commented Gaglio, “When the governor of New York State loosened the restrictions on mask-wearing at indoor events, we quickly had to change our entrance signs from “Masks Required” to “Masks Optional” just before our event opened and to our extreme pleasure, not only did our exhibitors all wear masks but so did the public and not one single objection was noted. Despite Mother Nature’s contribution to the show, the harder it rained…the more people came and filled the arrow marked aisles engaging with our exhibitors and buying. The fall Rhinebeck show has a flavor all its own as our incredibly talented exhibitors set the tone with displays of antiques and art that suggest comfort and spending more time indoors as the weather starts to chill. Come join us and see what everyone is talking about when they hear the words Rhinebeck and antiques.”
The three open-air buildings will once again host more than 125 exhibitors in walled displays featuring specialty categories, such as French sterling silver, fine art and prints, Asian antiques, Midcentury Modern, American and Continental period furniture and accessories, textiles and needlework, British porcelains, stoneware and redware pottery, art glass, early lighting, designer and costume jewelry, posters, collector watches, folk art, garden design, trade signs, gameboards and much more.
Parking is free and the show is mobility-challenged-accessible with a food truck and complimentary antiques publications. While in town, visitors can visit historic Rhinebeck Village where shops and eateries line the streets for additional dining options.
The show opens on Saturday, October 9, from 10 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, October 10, from 11 am until 4 pm.
One admission ($12) is good for the entire weekend with return pass and young collectors under 16 are free.
