Furniture, Paintings, Rugs, Silver, Bronzes from two Newport Estates (“Clover Patch”, “Normandie”
and from “Brigadoon Farm” in Clayville
The articles consigned to this sale have been in these three residences for many years, and offer to discriminating buyers, the opportunity to furnish their homes with some extraordinary pieces from Newport’s past. They include: bronzes by Paillard, Coustou, Aureli, and Armor; a quantity of silver by Caldwell, Gorham, Tiffany; a diverse selection of furniture, such as “Normandie’s” magnificent dining-table seating 20 persons; the longest meeting house bench ever made; set of 8 Salterini chairs, Francois Carre garden set, 5 Sequoia “live edge” slab bars, French china cabinet, many English pieces in mahogany, teak and rosewood; paintings by John Barker (2), Jacobus Meide, E. Iseli, J. H. Eversen, Richard Grosvenor, Wylene Commander, Dale Goss, Robert Pailthorpe and many other artists; porcelain in abundance with sets by KPM, Minton, Copeland Spode, Meissen, Chinese Export, art glass.
A feature of the auction will be the segment on ephemera, with autographs by T. S. Eliot, Thomas Wolfe, Al Capone, Joe Louis, John F. Kennedy and 28 other famous people.

offered at 10:30, following the rugs.
