SPECIAL COLLECTON: A rare grouping of fine artwork from Russian-German artist
Jacobus Belsen handed down from his estate to a local physician. Mr. Belsen fled Russia
during the Revolution and later Germany as Hitler came to power, leaving most of his artwork behind except a portfolio inherited by a local family – he arrived in NYC in 1936 and died in 1937.
Sadly, I must report that our dear auction pal “Annie”, was laid to rest on Oct. 5, 2021. She gave so much joy to all of us as our Auction Greeter for the past 20 years and will be deeply missed by our staff and all of her many friends.
