COPAKE, N.Y. — Copake Auction will conduct its 30th bicycle and transportation auction on Saturday, November 13, at 10 am. The gallery usually conducts this event every spring, but due to the pandemic the gallery presented one in June and now another in November. According to Seth Fallon, “The material came in and we had to make a decision, so we decided to go ahead with it now, rather than storing until spring. The sale will be online only and will feature 744 lots.”

The auction will feature early, classic, vintage and modern bicycles. In the early category there will be high wheels, chainless bicycles, pneumatic safeties and more. Included will be a Harley Davidson, Pierce chainless, Hudson and more. A selection of balloon-tire bicycles will be offered, including such classics as Schwinn Phantoms, 1947 Silver King, a scarce 1936 Schwinn Motorbike and more. Racing bicycles will include Schwinn Paramounts, Rene Herse, Maino, Cinelli, Frejus, an Alcyon team-issued bicycle and more. Modern bicycles include an Audi City Duo bicycle and more.

A one-owner Tour de France jersey collection includes race-worn autographed examples (many famous riders), also posters, autographed photo cards, memorabilia and more.
The auction also features bicycle memorabilia, collectibles, posters, pinbacks, photographs, medals, Wheelmen items and more.

Also included will be transportation-related items, including original Peter Helck illustrations, signs, parts, collectibles, memorabilia, ephemera and more.
Mike Fallon said he believes it is an exciting, diverse sale with a little bit for everyone. Previews will be Thursday and Friday November 11-12, 9 am to 4 pm. The auction is viewable now at www.copakeauction.com and live bidding will be available at www.liveauctioneers.com and www.invaluable.com.
