BRISTOL, CONN. — Beginning at noon on Saturday, February 19, Tim’s Auctions will offer the lifetime discoveries of a former auctioneer in an Estates Extravaganza. This will be a true discovery auction featuring a lifetime auctioneer’s collection. A 12-room home with barn, three-bay garage, basement and attic that are just beginning to be discovered. This auction will be a treasure trove of this lifetime collection and will be one of the largest single day auctions that Tim’s has ever offered in one day.
The auction will feature early American New England flasks and bottles, lighting, clocks, rare and extensive collection of art glass, pottery, furnishings, artwork, lamps, carnival glass, Pairpoint Ambero glass, Roseville, Well, Hull, Northwood and a large collection of vintage toys. The auction will start with a monumental Black Forest double cuckoo clock, a 1928 Buddy L tow truck, bottles, Civil War items, Arts and Crafts hanging lamps, Moriage, Nippon, miniatures, floor and table lamps, marble top tables and sideboard, dining room furniture, acanthus carved curio, curio cabinets and bookcases, musical instruments such as horns, banjos and violins, Art Deco, Victorian and Midcentury Modern. A lot of local historic items from the Bristol area will also be offered, as well as a coin and currency collection and vintage railroad signs.
This will be our first in person auction in more than two years; seating is limited and must be arranged in advance. Previews will be by appointment only on Thursday and Friday, 17-18.
