Huge Rare, Famously Controversial Brigadier General Jacob Hurd Smith Military collection. He was in the Civil War battle of Shiloh and wounded, Indian War, Spanish American War, and a Philippine War Veteran. Court Marshaled for his Activities in the Philippine War and the battle of Suzan, he left quite a story. One-of-a-kind collection of Smith’s U. S. Mint War medals, uniform pieces, officer and general rank insignia, and much more!! Also in this auction is a collection of Civil War Books, Art Ephemera, Era newspapers, famous wartime
publications, GAR items, prints and more. Some artist signed prints, original publications lithographs, prints, war time photographs, records and music sheets. Several books on Abraham Lincoln, some era made books as well as vintage copies of several informative and storybased books around the Civil War. There is also some WWII Items such as medals, buttons and A Japanese Flag.
