SAUGERTIES, N.Y. — Fox and Crane Online Auctions will conduct its spring sale on Saturday, April 9, starting at 11 am. Offered will be more than 250 items from a local Hudson Valley Estate and select additions.

This auction features a selection of items from celebrity hairdresser Kenneth Battelle. Highlights include a Richard Avedon photo contact sheet of Marilyn Monroe from the Some Like It Hot movie photo session with Battelle; his 1961 Coty Award with award presentation program, his personal Hermes attaché case that he traveled with to do his regular clientele’s hair, including Jacqueline Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Lauren Bacall, Lucille Ball and Judy Garland; his personal gold pinky ring that he always wore; six original illustrations by Joe Eula done at Battelle’s 54th Street salon, plus additional items from the Kenneth Hair Salon on 19 East 54th Street.

Other notable items include two Joan Miro limited edition books: Quelques Fleurs pour des Amis, 1964 album, and Cartones, 1959-1965 album 1152/1200 with original signed lithographs.

Additional highlights in the sale include a 1953 Commando Cody Sky Marshal Of The Universe movie poster in gallery frame; Renzo Longoni signed custom two-piece pool cue; Michael Roginskaya oil on canvas signed and dated 1965; Doris and Richard Beer “Easy Street” watercolor, circa 1940s; Fanny Baylen oil on canvas of Prospect Park Brooklyn, 1965, plus others.

A vintage lattice pattern three-seater metal porch glider and four metal lattice pattern bouncy chairs will cross the block along with 1970s MCM outdoor lounge furniture made in USA by Telescope and a French fancy wrought iron five-piece patio set.

Also offered will be a vintage George Sims singles racing shell and a MAAS single rowing shell; Steiff bear collection; vintage toys, Disneyana collection, lunchbox collection, antique double-sided wrought iron “Friseur (hairdresser) trade sign; Fred Plaut (1907-1985) collection of photographs: L.
