PELHAM, N.H. — Legare Auctions has an online sale featuring a collection of antique and vintage clothing, textiles and materials deaccessioned from a New England historical institution on AuctionNinja closing Thursday, June 16, beginning at 7 p.m.

“It is an interesting collection, including a large selection of antique Victorian dresses, three wedding gowns, some Deco and later dresses as well,” said auctioneer Leo Legare. “There are multiple lots of ladies’ white nightgowns and petticoats, night caps, two nice ladies’ Quaker bonnets with shoulder pieces, along with a selection of children’s dresses, nightgowns, baby bonnets and shoes.”

Among the highlights are a selection of shawls, some embroidered florals in silk, early paisley shawls, white and black lace shawls and a few scarves. There is a vintage Hula skirt, paper dress, skirts, capes and a lady’s lambskin jacket. In the men’s category are jackets, tuxedos and partial military uniforms.

The textiles include a large early chintzy quilt, an early log cabin-style and crazy quilts, wool blankets, homespun bed covers and popcorn bed covers. There are also fabric lots, needlework and linens. Among the accessories are costume jewelry, scarves, gloves and even a wicker baby carriage.

The sale will also include miscellaneous antiques with lots of sterling silver, Lladro figurines, early gin bottles, Civil War relief carvings, a braided rug, photos and ephemera.
