HAMPTON FALLS, N.H. — Edward B. Beattie Auctioneers has an online Auction Ninja sale of antiques, collectibles, artwork and more that will start to close on Thursday, July 21, at 7 pm. All the items came right out of homes and estates in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
“This sale is a mystery as we endeavor to clean up our warehouse of a variety of estate lots,” said Ed Beattie, auctioneer. “Please note there are some very good items in this sale, don’t let the mystery title fool you. One of my favorites is a vintage cabinet from the Chestnut Hill, Mass., Post Office topped with a carved eagle.
“We do many, many calls, and you never know what you will find,” added Beattie. “This sale has a beautiful Nineteenth Century dollhouse, Weller pottery, a signed photo of Thomas Edison, 20 leather-bound volumes of Shakespeare, an early Staffordshire lamp, Sheffield, a large lot of vintage medical equipment and a 48-star American flag. There are many equestrian-themed lots, including one with a saddle, helmets and boots.”
In the art category, there are paintings, prints and sculptures. An oil on board marine scene by Paul Hickey is a highlight, and there is a Leroy Neiman print of an early charcoal “Ladies of the Hunt” signed and dated by the artist, 1959.
