HUDSON, N.Y. — On October 1, Public Sale Auction House will conduct a Midcentury Modern and design auction. Titled “Conceptual Coherence,” the auction celebrates Modernism’s experimentation with shape and form through a wide variety of furniture, art and lighting.

This auction has a focus on Midcentury Modern design, with styles ranging from Brutalism to Postmodern. The auction includes some of the best designers; Eames, Nelson, McArthur, Saarinen, Weinberg, Platner, Breuer, Woodard, Jere, Risom, Gehry, Bertoia, Jacobsen and more.

The furniture highlights include several tables of varying sizes, a side table by Jens Risom, a huge oval Saarinen Tulip table and a Soane Britain Ripple table, among others. The seating available in this auction is a wide variety of chairs and sofas, including two leather Mies van der Rohe daybeds. There is also lighting highlighted by a Curtis Jere kinetic floor lamp, two floor lamps by Gianfranco Frattini and many others from which to choose.
