PHILADELPHIA — Kamelot Auctions has announced its week of October sales, kicking off Wednesday, October 26, with a Design | French | Italian | American sale and on Thursday, October 27, with Interiors: Art Deco and Chic Furniture.

The Design | French | Italian | American sale features a selection of Midcentury Modern pieces. Function meets eclectic form with a Roche Bobois Mahjong modular seven-piece sofa ($8/12,000). For a pop of color, a pair of parchment covered benches in the manner of Jean-Michel Frank will brighten up a room ($1,2/1,800). A sideboard by Charles Dudouyt, circa 1950, one of nine Dudouyt pieces featured in the sale, has an estimate of $2/4,000 and is a stylish hideout for both seasonal storage and everyday needs. An oil painting titled “Crisantemos” by Lebanese artist Bebe Zogbe has an estimate of $2/3,000. Entertaining for the holiday will benefit from an Italian tray top wood and glass bar cart ($400/600).

Interiors: Art Deco and Chic Furniture will transport one’s home back to the glamor of the 1930s. A French mahogany revolving bookcase table, circa 1935, has an estimate of $500/700. A maple faux bamboo armoire having a mirrored door, circa 1890, ($800-$1,200) will upgrade any bedroom to boudoir. Find beauty in the small details of a French sideboard attributed to Leleu, circa 1930. This piece, decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay, has an estimate of $2/4,000. An iron mesh chandelier has an estimate of $500/700.

For kicking one’s feet up and relaxing, there is a pair of sycamore Art Deco club chairs attributed to Rene Prou, circa 1940, ($1/1,800). A collection of Art Nouveau posters includes a French poster reading, Je ne Fume que le Nil, designed by Leonetto Capiello for Joseph Bardou & Fils, circa 1912. It is just one of 14 vintage French posters available in this Interiors sale, having an estimate of $600/800.
