CONCORD, MASS. — The TriCon Antiques Show returns to the Trinitarian Congregational Church November 4-5.
The first TriCon Antiques Show in 1970 was set up to fund a life-saving spinal surgery needed by a young man named Nesan from Sri Lanka. The idea was born to continue to host the show and donate all proceeds. Over the years, the show has contributed to many outreach causes, giving away more than $500,000 in total.
After a two-year hiatus during Covid, the show is back to host its 50th TriCon Antiques Show. Show proceeds received by the church, from dealer rentals, café sales and ticket admissions, go entirely towards outreach organizations. Show proceeds have helped to fund local food pantries, such as Gaining Ground and Open Table; benefitted incarcerated neighbors through Concord Prison Outreach; supported those setting up housing following a move from an abusive situation or as a displaced refugee at Household Goods; supported at-risk youth through UTEC; and many others, including some international agencies in Cambodia and Africa.
With approximately 30 professional antiques dealers from all over New England, displayed on three levels, the event offers a variety of antiques for people to peruse and purchase. Dealers showcase furniture, pottery, books, tools, jewelry, glassware, prints and many treasured finds.
The church puts on a TriCon Café that offers homemade lunches for shoppers to purchase and enjoy onsite Sandwiches and soups, chips, drinks and a large selection of home-baked goodies, including pies, cakes, cookies and bars, many gluten-free, are available.
