CANDIA, N.H. — Schmitt Horan & Co. will conduct its fall clock, watch, antiques and collectibles auction on the weekend of November 19-20, in its new headquarters at 80 Raymond Road. The 550-lot sale will be divided into two sessions. Session one will be a Discovery event and will consist of more than 370 lots, with bidding open to in-person attendees only. Session two will feature American and European horology, with internet, phone and absentee bidding options. Online bidding is currently open, and all lots will close in numerical order on auction day.
The Discovery sale begins at noon on November 19 and is an event geared to collectors and dealers in attendance and features a wide array of American and European clocks and clock parts, many sold in groups of two or more. Many of the clocks and antiques offered are ready to enjoy as they are, while others require varying degrees of restoration. The parts lots will be of interest to collectors and dealers, who may need a weight, pendulum or other part to complete a restoration or replenish inventory. Please note that all purchases made during the first portion of the sale will require same day payment and removal.
Session two starts at 11 am on November 20. This portion of the sale contains items of significant horological and historic importance and is open to all bidders through online platforms. Phone and absentee bidding are also options for those who cannot attend the sale.
