WILMINGTON, MASS. — Goosefare Antiques will conduct the Greater Boston Antiques Show at Shriner’s Auditorium on December 3-4. For the last year or so, dealers have been asking for someone to revive an antiques show at the Shriners. There was a show there for a number of years and, with the arrival of Covid, the previous promoter went to an online platform. But many dealers wanted an in-person show. John and Elizabeth DeSimone of Goosefare Antiques decided to take on the challenge, but to give the show a different focus. They approached dealers with the idea of having a smaller show where antiques dealers would have a chance to show and sell their stock around the holiday season. The idea of having a 60-70 dealer show, which by no means would fill the Shriner’s Auditorium, but where customers could come and find good quality antiques and collectibles, was enticing.

The promoters presently have more than 60 dealers from six states signed up. Dealer setup will be all day on Friday, December 2, with the show being open to the public on Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. There is no early buyers session; the show opens to everyone at 10 am sharp on the Saturday, December 3. Exhibitors have their choice of booths with no walls, a back wall only or all three walls, in three different sizes. For the customers, there is plenty of parking, and the Shriners staff will provide food service throughout the show.
