ESSEX, MASS. — Blackwood/March Auctioneers has scheduled an online estates fine art and antiques auction for February 4 at 1 pm.
Asian artworks are prominent in the sale with more than 40 Japanese woodblock prints by such artists as Hiroshi Yoshida, Toshi Yoshida, Kawasi Hasui, Watanabe and others. Cape Ann artworks include an Emile A. Gruppe oil, “Bass Rocks,” a William Meyerowitz oil Cubist village scene, a Theresa Bernstein floral watercolor, eight paintings by Robert Benham and works by Helen Van Wyk, among others. Other artworks include a large landscape by William Mander, Japanese watercolors, a Korean oil and an Italian school harbor scene.
A large selection of estate silver includes a 130-piece Royal Danish sterling silver flatware set, Gorham sterling bowls, tea pots and other silver. Other accessories include a collection of vintage cameras by Rollieflex, Leica and Nikon, antique books including works by T.S. Elliot, an antique French book on magic, A Concise Account of North America by Major Robert Rogers, London, 1765, and others. Diverse accessories include Native American artifacts, bronzes, a Stieff 20-inch Teddy bear, etc.
