It has been almost a decade since a William Britains toy soldier collection of this magnitude and quality has been on the market. Alan Bramson was one of the hobbies early pioneers in the field. Sadly, the Chicago native passed away this fall. His mentor and dealer was Gus Hansen, another Chicago pioneer of the field. Alan and his friend Alvin Whitehead bought the majority of great items Gus was able to unearth in the soldier rich Chicagoland area. We had the honor of selling Alvin’s collection in the early 2000’s. What makes this collection noteworthy are the number of high quality sets, the majority of which were purchased in the late 70’s and 80’s. This is a single owner sale that is not to be missed.
