ST LOUIS, MO. — Link Auction Galleries is celebrating its 9th Anniversary gallery auction on Saturday, July 29, at 10 am. A collection of porcelain from a private collector in Evansville, Ind., includes a pair of rare Minton pate sur pate vases, Chinese cloisonne, Royal Vienna and KPM portraits.

The fine art department is offering Sixteenth-Eighteenth Century Old Master paintings as well as paintings and prints by Benjamin Williams Leader, Joseph Lee, Henry Boese, Johannes Ruprecht, Leonardo Nierrman, Johan Nicolas van Lockhorst and Nicola Simbari.

African art from the ex-collection of Dr John Wallace Nunley, curator of African, American, Oceanic and Pre-Columbian art at the Saint Louis Art Museum is also included. Several pieces of pottery by Edwin Scheier from New Hampshire/Puerto Rico/Mexico are offered as well as earthenware by Pablo Picasso, “Bird with Tuft,” 1952.

A piece of Italian St Louis history includes an antique Italian carved marble fountain depicting cupid with dolphins from the personal collection of Msgr. Sal Polizzi from the well-known Italian Hill neighborhood.

Jewelry will include a lady’s platinum, emerald and diamond pendant weighing 52.28 carats, a 10-carat aquamarine ring and 2.25-carat diamond engagement ring.

Antique English, American and Continental furniture includes an R.J. Horner table, Nineteenth Century French secretaire abattant and cylinder desk. Deaccessioned property from the Swope Museum, Terre Haute, Ind., will present a large selection of sculptures, silver, art glass and Oriental carpets among a wide range of decorative art in this celebratory auction.
