Company president Jeffrey S. Evans, commented, “We are extremely excited to present such an outstanding group of important objects for this auction. Marshall’s collection is especially important to us because he is a dear friend and a valued mentor. Overall, his collection is one of the best to appear on the market in recent years — with high-quality material in so many categories — and we anticipate that large numbers of people will be watching the sale.”
The catalog will be posted September 1. The sale is on public preview September 18-21, 10 am to 6 pm; and September 22-23, 8 am until end of auction on each day. There will be a few short presentations in honor of Goodman on Thursday, September 21, starting at 6 pm, to be followed by an informal gathering with light refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.
