MELBOURNE, FLA. — Mathesons’ Auctions will present an online auction of two fresh estates, each containing lifelong collections, on September 17.
The first half of the sale will consist of Asian pieces from a Melbourne, Fla., deceased collector’s estate. There are many examples from China, Japan, India, Korea and Tibet. Some of the items included are coral, jade and other hardstones, bronzes, lacquer, wood, archer rings, cloisonne, watercolors and woodblock prints.
The second half of the sale offers more than 50 rarely seen prints by Maxfield Parrish, many of which have been framed by the “Dream Gardener.”
