GOFFSTOWN, N.H. — On Saturday, September 23, Jones & Horan will conduct a webcast live-close auction of 460 lots with no reserves, no buyer’s premium and no sales tax. Featured will be jewelry, wristwatches, pocket watches and coins from major collectors.
Highlights of the more than 50 jewelry lots include a GIA-certified pear-shape diamond weighing 4.89 carats as well as several other large diamonds. Designer jewelry from famous jewelers include Trabert & Hoeffer – Mauboussin as well as William Ruser and Brock & Co, both of Beverly Hills. A large portion of jewelry is from the estate of esteemed jewelry collector and world-renowned television and film comedian Richard “Red” Skelton.
Wristwatches are highlighted by a fresh-to-market Rolex Daytona reference 6264 with original bracelet. Also highlighted are numerous Rolex sport models, including a Red Submariner as well as dress models, including Day-Dates and a double signed Linz dial model, as well as a Heuer Autavia retailed by Abercrombie & Fitch and a Patek Philippe retailed by Walser Wald. Numerous other pieces are from Audemars Piguet, Omega, Cartier and more.
European pocket watches include a Piguet & Meylan 18K and enamel musical watch, a perpetual calendar minute repeater in 18K HC, 11 Patek Philippe watches, including two repeaters, four Jules Jürgensen watches, including a minute repeating split chronograph and a likely unique ultra-thin pocket chronometer. Additional highlights include a Bras en L’air (arms in the air) watch, Anquetin explorer’s watch in 18K gold, 19 repeating pocket watches, and more.
American pocket watches are highlighted by numerous Waltham examples, including a Riverside Maximus US Presidential Lifesaving presentation watch, a Premier Maximus that may be the final example produced, multiple “American Watch Co” models and more, as well as a historic L. Goddard & Sons with single family provenance, two Elgin Convertible 21 jewel, multiple rare Santa Fe Railroad marked watches and more.
Other offerings include a Thomas Cole rectangular strut clock with calendar, bank vault timers, sterling silver items and more.
