Inspection: Tuesday, October 24 from 1 to 4 PM and one hour before sale on Wednesday
This promises to be a most interesting and diversified auction, as many of the articles have been stored in Andrews Warehouse and Storage (now razed) for upwards of 100 years.
These include: a charging horse rescued when Easton’s Beach carousel was destroyed in the 1938 Hurricane, Egyptian Revival sphinx, L: 3 ft., meticulously painted 3-panel monkey screen, H:8 ft., Rarities include: escritoires, late 18th C. Recamier, Sevres covered urns, bronzes.
A segment of the auction will be devoted to the dispersal of a veritable library of books illustrated by the best artists of the Illustration Era. (Cobb, Christy, Flagg, Held, Fisher and many others).
