THOMASTON, MAINE — Thomaston Place Auction Galleries’ Thomaston Light division will present a decorative arts sale titled “Distinctive Adornments” on Wednesday, March 6, at 10 am. This one-day, 331-lot auction will offer a diverse selection of interesting and one-of-a-kind accents.
Offerings will include a mid-Nineteenth Century framed patriotic calligraphy of a spread-wing eagle; a Chinese export silver link belt by Wang Hing & Co; a lady’s gold watch chain with slide; a selection of early Apple computers; multiple ship and half-hull models; a large group of sketchbooks by artist Denny Sonke Winters (1905-1985); an international stamp album, including early stamps from Saar to Siberia; multiple lots of china dinnerware; paintings; jewelry; Asian antiques; vintage furniture; and much more.
Items can be viewed online now, and participants can register and place pre-auction (or absentee) bids any time prior to 10 am, Wednesday, March 6. Registered bidders can also place bids as each item comes up for sale on March 6.
