ESSEX, MASS. — Blackwood/March auctioneers is presenting a live online estates auction, Saturday, May 18, at 11 am. More than 200 lots in the May sale come from a 50-year estate collection of Cape Ann artworks.
Leading the paintings in the sale is an early A.T. Hibbard oil on board titled “Dry Docks.” Two Frederick Mulhaupt paintings are included in the sale, as well as 10 oil landscapes and marine scenes from the estate of Carl W. Peters. Notable works include a steel sculpture by Al Czerepak of the Holy Mother, 10 landscapes and marine scenes by Oscar Anderson, works by Helen Stein, Theresa Bernstein, Antonio Cirino, four Eleanor Parke Custis, Arthur Deihl, 10 Lester Hornby, J. Thurston Marshall and many more.
