BRANFORD, CONN. — New England Auctions will present an Americana, advertising, automobilia, political, historical, toys and books auction on September 12 at 10 am. This auction boasts a wide array of vintage advertising and signage, including a porcelain double-sided Golden Shell Motor Oil sign, as well as a Wells & Hope Co., Philadelphia Fire Association lithograph on tin.
An impressive collection of toy trucks and automobiles is joined by mechanical tin toys, showcased by such pieces as a Karl Bub windup saloon limousine. A printing of Walt Whitman’s Leaves of Grass, a rare Lady Liberty standing light and a unique tramp art wall shelf with antlers rounds out the sale.
