Philadelphia Collects Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Museum of Art adds works of art to its collections through gifts and bequests from generous
collectors as well as purchases from dealers and auction houses. The works span many centuries and hail from
cultures around the world as well as from Philadelphia. This exhibition features a selection of works of art made
in Philadelphia—during its stately past up to its vibrant present—that were recently acquired by the Museum.
