Beechwood Napoleon Bonaparte inspired mansion, Cape Vincent, NY on the Saint Lawrence River for sale through Select Sotheby’s International Realty. Vincent LaRay de Chaumont founder of Cape Vincent and Chaumont, sold the mansion to Theophile Peugnet who was Napoleon Bonaparte’s personal bodyguard. It is believed to be that 3 homes were built; one to house Napoleon and this home for his officers. (auctionzip.com for more history)
