Lemuel Curtis Girandole Number Five c 1816 Signed L Curtis on the movement, dial and the throat glass, chisel mark V on the case back board and the throat glass frame. Previously in the collection of legendary coin and gun collector Grant Pierce of Providence, Rhode Island; to his son Henry Clay Pierce of Kansas to the current Pierce family member. An interior inscription names Frank Homer Burr as a previous owner as well. Birth records list a Frank Homer Burr born in Boston July 31, 1855.
