This auction will feature antiques and decorative arts from estates and homes in Gloucester, Beverly, and from the concord estate of noted architect Jean-Paul Carlhian.
Starting with 120 cataloged lots to be sold live in the room and on-line with “liveauctioneers.Com” to be followed by 100 additional lots sold “in house” only, with no internet bidding.
Offerings range from a recently discovered Garret Jex Oil, Antonio Tapies litho, a Philadelphia Chippendale highboy base (now fitted with flat top) with shell carved knees and trifid feet, bronzes, autographs of president U.S. Grant, Kaiser Wilhelm, GFM von Hindenburg, a French Boch Frere presentation clock, caricatures by Leo Auger of William “billy” Bulger from the triple “o” lounge, Suzanne Hodes oil “block party 1968”, Frank Shapleigh 1896 oil of a sunken country lane, signed Bernard levy posters, 1950’s Puerto Rico posters by Rivera and others, a Hubley “cosmic disintegrator” ray gun, plus our usual assortment of fresh estate picked antiques and decorative items.
