Note: This auction is from the collection of retired military Col. T.W. McClain & his late wife Marcia. While collecting many fine antiques their passion was coverlets, samplers, silver, brass King Queen & Princess candlesticks. Over 60 fine coverlets & samplers will be sold divided into several auctions. This auction will include 10 Pa. coverlets & several samplers. There will be 2 auctioneers selling most of the day of antiques & collectibles of all kinds. Col. Mc- Clain is downsizing & moving west. Brief Listing: 10 V.G. 19th cen. Pa. jacquard coverlets most are signed & dated, 4- 19th cen. handmade samplers all signed & dated, 19 old pewter ice cream molds in various shapes including bike-cupid w/rabbit & egg, candlesticks including 14 made by Eppelsheimer & Co. N.Y.-5 by Schall -6 pr. brass late 19th cen. candlesticks all signed either King-Queen or Princess of Diamonds all having pushups in base, 8 early English pewter plates from late 18th cen. early 19th cen., over 100 pcs. sterling silver including 1924 trophy vase signed Tiffany & Co. Makers-flatware-porringers-souvenir spoonsdresser items & more, approx. 50 coin silver spoons from 19th cen. most are signed by name or hallmark, 5 antique quilts, circa. 1900 oak silverware case w/ Tiffany label belonged to Admiral Farggert, early flax hatchels dated 1810 & 1811, 19th cen. pie safe w/8 tin punched panels w/2 drawers over 2 doors, antique decorated No. 4 stoneware crock signed A.E. Smith & Sons, antique Windsor highchair, pr. early mahogany veneered knife boxes w/oval pinwheel inlay on top-db. serpentine fronts w/star inlay interior, fine American Hepplewhite mahogany sideboard w/string inlay & satin wood w/4 oval cartouche inlay 3 drawers over 3 doors 6 legs, circa. 1810-1820 possible Mass. early turned post wooden rope bed, early iron beam scale dated 1778 & signed H.
