John Gaines, JR. 1711-1748 Great Chair in Excellent Condition. When first purchased, these chairs were vetted by an Americana Specialist of a well known New England auction gallery. When asked if they were American, his answer was “Definitely, but I do not know who made them and they are valuable.”
