Auctioneer’s Note: We are privileged to offer at public auction the multi generational collection of the Colcord family of Searsport and Yarmouth Maine. This historic sea faring family of Searsport was sea captains and adventurers throughout the 19th century. In addition to being sea captains, they were artists and writers. Lincoln and Joanna wrote numerous books about sea faring and their voyages around the world. Many of the objects gathered throughout their world adventures will be offered for sale. Among the items include two important Hong Kong School port paintings, a large ship’s broadside by famous marine artist, Clement Drew, family oils and watercolors done by their personal friend aine’s iconic artist Waldo Pierce. Also discovered, was a watercolor of a Tahitian man painted and signed by Lincoln Colcord. This is a brief sketch of the hundreds of items offered for sale.
We have photographed almost every lot in this sale and can be viewed on our website www.geraldbellantiques.net or auctionzip.com, auctioneer #5556 or Gerald Bell
