Pop Art: Warhol, Basquiat and other friends of the late Jon J. Gould (1953-1986). Jon a former Vice President at Paramount Pictures shared a special bond with Andy Warhol becoming Andy’s closest friend and companion in the 1980’s. These personal items have been hidden away in the family home for just over three decades never before seen publicly. As part of the Harriett (Woodsom)
Gould Estate, This will be an auction to remember.

Harriet and her husband “Bud” were well known long time Amesbury Residents.
Harriett grew up on the famous Woodsom Farm and Bud ran Gould Insurance for decades. Discovered in the estate to be auctioned are the personal belongings of Jon J. Gould, son of Harriett and Bud. Jon was a former Vice President of Paramount Pictures and shared a special bond with Andy Warhol, becoming Andy’s closest friend and companion in the 1980’s.

Together with a southwest Indian bone and beaded steer strapped to the lapel button with a red, white and blue tassel. Andy Warhol also had a painted Jean-Michel Basquiat leather jacket.

Signed “Jon/ Andy Warhol ’83” Note: This unique and emotional thought provoking artwork made of intentionally broken stretched canvas sculpted by Andy for his dearest friend is a snapshot in time depicting their complicated relationship. Included with this work of art are copies of poetry, penned by Jon, and copied before sending to Andy.
These words add insight into Jon and Andy’s complex love for each other.
