Millea Bros’ May Select auction brings an incredible trove of modern and contemporary art from three important estates. Featuring the personal photo collection of Illeana Sonnabend: a 100 year survey of international art photography from Wilhelm Von Gloeden to David Hockney; Modern art and furnishing from legendary NY Senator Jacob Javits including important works by Larry Rivers, James Rosenquist, Nancy Graves, Joseph Bueys, Rauschenberg, and Man Ray; art from the Pentti Kouri Collection including Tim Hawkinsen, Lawrence Carroll, Hermann Nitsch, and Otto Zitko; a private collection of Jules Leleu furniture; contents from a Maison Jansen decorated estate; and a singleowner collection of mid-century Venini glass.
