The LIST auction consists of 200 plus lots of medicine, climbing and exploration, leather, history, ephemera, children’s literature, art, science and fiction.

Of Note – The LIST auction includes a number of volumes of bibliography from the library of noted book collector and dealer Barbara Farnsworth and volumes from the library of Robert Carneiro curator emeritus of the New York Museum of Natural History.
Just Added to the LIST auction – The first edition of the first translation by a woman of the bible namely Julia E. Smith’s “The Holy Bible: Containing the Old and New Testaments” in its original brown cloth with gilt title and spine. Julia Smith, a suffragist and abolitionist, lived nearly all of her life in Glastonbury, Connecticut and it is from a home in this town that this book was consigned.
Ephemera – Bill James, the “Father of Sabermetrics,” is considered to have transformed the statistical analysis of baseball. In 2006 Time magazine named him one of the most influential people in the world. This lot includes: “Bill James Baseball Abstract 1977 – 1988.”
The first five are reprints by James of his original self-published books. The first of these is SIGNED. The 1989 volume is included though not published by James. The 1990 to 1995 “Bill James Baseball Book” and “Bill James Player Ratings Book” volumes are here as is the complete 16 issue run of the “Bill James Newsletter.” If baseball is your passion then this lot should be of interest to you.
The SHELF sale consists of several bookcases each filled with a variety of books. Each
case holds over 120 books. Buy the contents of the bookcase, take what you want and
leave the rest.
