Of interest is a consignment of scarce martial arts books including the first edition of Watts & Beldam’s (1906) “The Fine Art of Jujutsu,” which happens to be the first book on this subject written by a woman in English and Yokoyama & Oshima’s (1915) “Judo,” a first edition written by one of the masters of this martial art.
To the art, bibliography, history, children’s, exploration, fiction and ephemera to be offered, this sale has several lots devoted to calligraphy, Oz and interesting ephemera.
This auction continues the sale of art, gardening and bibliography books from the noted book collector Barbara Farnsworth.
