Estate of Albert Donald Judd, Jr. (1944-2020).
The lifetime collection and personal tangible
property of a true Mainer.
ORDWAY GROVE FARM, c1820 •
Estate located at 8 Pleasant St,
Norway, Maine
Albert Judd, was a well known member of the Norway community who actively balanced advocating historic preservation and sound nutrition through his ownership and operation of Ordway Grove Farm. Inside the sprawling 1820 Greek revival manse he has left a lifetime collection of period antiques, including Federal period furniture, objects of virtu, sterling silver, porcelains and fine art as well as contemporary furnishings and household necessities. What personally impressed me about this estate as I first walked through it with his daughter was that each item Mr. Judd selected had a special quality, for instance; if it was sterling silver flatware, it was heavy, if it was a piece of furniture it had a special aesthetic whether it be an unusual turning or inlay and I am confident that you will discover the same.
Over (350) lots will be sold in this absolute auction with each beginning at $1.
