COMMERCE, CALIF. — Abell Auction will present a fine art, antiques, Twentieth Century design and jewelry auction on Sunday, December 5, at 10 am PDT. The sale features property from prominent California estates and will be highlighted by a collection of French Impressionist paintings and drawings. Property from the Los Angeles estate of Kirk and Anne Douglas will be featured, and the sale also includes jewelry, sterling, porcelain and much more from the estate of TV and radio personalities Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone.
Benny was a leading Twentieth Century American entertainer with a highly popular comedic career in film, television, and radio. The Jack Benny Program radio-TV comedy series ran for more than three decades, and featured performances by his wife Mary Livingstone, who was also a talented comedian. The auction also features items from the estate of the Benny’s adopted daughter, Joan Benny.
