BEVERLY, MASS. — Kaminski Auctions will host a one-day auction on Sunday, May 1, starting at 10 am ET. The auction features a New York City socialite’s collection from her Park Avenue home and the collection of J. Spencer Weed Esq. of Mount Vernon, N.Y. There are also additions from a Manchester-By-The-Sea estate and a fine art collection from Delray Beach, Fla.

English furniture from the Park Avenue collection features a Nineteenth Century English mahogany breakfront, an English Regency triple-pedestal mahogany dining table, a set of mahogany shield-back dining chair and an English mahogany chest having four serpentine front drawers.
Elegant furnishings from the Park Avenue address include a French Aubusson rug, Eighteenth Century Chinese export porcelain, Royal Doulton fancy dinner plates, a Nineteenth Century Paris porcelain dessert set, an S. Kirk & Sons sterling silver flatware silver service, tea set, and an English silver footed tray by Garrard, London.

Two important British hunt paintings will cross the block. The first is a presentation portrait by Stephen Pearce (British, 1819-1904) of “G.F. Radclyffe, Esq., Master of the South Dorset Fox Hounds,” which was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1875. The second painting is by Dean Wolstenholme (British, 1757-1837). It is titled “The Hertfordshire Hunt” and depicts hounds and huntsmen crossing the river at Berkham; the oil on canvas is signed lower left “Wolstenholme” and dated 1826.

Contemporary art from the Del Ray Beach and other collections includes works by Keith Haring, Joan Miro, Louise Nevelson, Milton Avery, Alex Katz and a Pablo Picasso lithograph.

Several antique British and American firearms include an over-under pistol, signed Clough, a Winchester Buffalo Bill 30-30 custom-built rifle and a Civil War Colt Navy cap and ball 36 caliber revolver. A 1969 Mustang Coupe Boss302 and a 1992 Mercedes SL from a Cape Cod estate are also offered.

Preview is open Monday-Saturday, April 25-30, 10 am to 4 pm, and Sunday, May 1, starting at 8 am. Preview is open all day while the auction is live.
