BRIMFIELD, MASS. — Brimfield Antique Shows is always coming up with surprises, and this year is no different with the introduction of a new show, the Weekend Warrior Show, A Show for People Who Work. This show will run May 14-15 in tandem at Hertan’s and will take place on Hertan’s show field. The Weekend Warrior Show will feature 100 new vendors who will move in on Friday night for a Saturday 8 am opening. Admission to the show is free. “People kept asking us why there wasn’t a show on the weekend for people who worked Monday through Friday. There seemed to be a strong demand, so we wanted to fill that void,” stated Klia Ververidis, chief executive officer of Brimfield Antique Shows. This addition to the Hertan’s show will feature antiques and vintage material but will include artisan and handmade vendors as well. There will also be family friendly events happening all weekend to encourage people to bring the next generation of antique and vintage enthusiasts with them.

Hertan’s will open as usual on Wednesday, May 11, at noon with the traditional ringing of the bell. New spaces and food vendors were added to make this year’s show the largest ever at 250 vendor spaces. Admission to the show is $5 per person and parking is available at the show.

This year’s show is once again being sponsored by Ruby Lane and coming onboard as a partner for the 2022 season is Worthpoint, an online resource for researching, valuing and buying/selling antiques, art and vintage collectibles. Both companies will be onsite offering demos, giveaways and answering questions.

There will be a large hospitality tent sponsored by Brimfield Antique Shows, Ruby Lane and Worthpoint where people can sit down, have a cold beverage, cool off and participate in the online show, which will be streaming live from Hertan’s field all week. Shoppers who cannot make it to the live show will be able to shop virtually all week long in the first ever in person and online show hybrid, which can be viewed both on brimfieldlive.com and rubylane.com and on the Brimfield Antique Shows Facebook page @brimfieldlive.

Special events are also planned during the week. Returning to Hertan’s on Thursday evening at 6 pm will be the Original Brimfield Auction by Brimfield/Crown Auctions. The auction will feature more than 350 lots, which will be sold at a fast-paced rate with no reserves and no buyer’s premium. The auction is a popular event with vendors, as many use the auction to restock for the weekend. “Our best customers are the vendors, and usually the items they buy at the auction are sold on the field before they leave the show! It’s a great way to restock without going home and it’s a lot of fun,” said Ververidis.

On Friday night Hertan’s will host a 1920s Speakeasy Party. This event is open to everyone and is a free event. Doors open at 6 pm in the Brimfield Antique Shows/Ruby Lane/Worthpoint hospitality tent. Attire from the 1920s is encouraged and prizes will be given to the best outfits.

Brimfield Antique Shows will also be heading back to the Deerfield Fairgrounds in Deerfield, N.H., for the Brimfield North Traveling Show.
