Property from an historic Estate in Darien, CT, of a well-traveled family descended from John Alden, who arrived in America on the “Mayflower”.
The estate contains a very fine selection of antique American and English furnishings, including a choice collection of rare Chinese Export “Fitzhugh” porcelain.
Among the other highlights are: a rare & elegant Regency Period Bullseye giltwood Mirror with Hippocampus; an 18th C. New York Hepplewhite serpentine mahogany Sideboard; an antique English silver tea and coffee set; a pair of English 18th C. mahogany knife boxes; an Alaskan carved walrus scrimshaw tusk; a pair of fine Connecticut Hepplewhite chairs; a Regency Period mahogany Secretary Bookcase; several antique cast iron Fire backs and more.
