LEROY, ILL. — A two-day country Americana auction by Fricker Auction will be presented on Friday and Saturday, September 9-10, at Fricker Auction Center. The September 9 session will start at 3 pm and the September 10 sale will begin at 9 am. Preview is set for September 9 from noon to 3 pm and on September 10 from 7 to 9 am. The auction will be conducted with in-house, absentee and phone bids only and there is no buyer’s premium charged.

The firm will auction more than 1,000 items over the two days, featuring multi-estate lifetime collections. Offered will be fresh-to-the-market painted furniture (corner cupboards, wall cupboards, pie safes, blanket chests, tables, etc.), weathervanes (bull, rooster, horses, fish), more than 40 pieces of salt-glaze stoneware (birds, chicken, stripers, stenciled, etc.), an advertising stoneware collection, stoneware pigs and cow/calf, painted firkins and pantries, Eastern decoys, burl bowls, Peaseware, Shaker, wooden trade signs, dated coverlets, quilts, early lighting, paintings, Maine signed baskets, painted apothecaries, blanket chests, Halloween, wallpaper boxes, pewter collection, yellowware and more.
