PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Bert Gallery will host two online studio sales this holiday season: the Attic Sale on November 28 and the Bert Gallery Studio Collection Sale Winter 2022 on December 14 via LiveAuctioneers.

“It is exciting to expand the gallery outreach beyond 24 Bridge Street in Providence, R.I., to a wider audience online,” said gallery owner Catherine Little Bert. “The holiday season moves at a brisk pace at Bert Gallery and one of the popular annual events has been our Attic Sale. Bert Gallery loves to clean closets! In that spirit, check our odds and ends inventory from estates and storage.”

The Attic Sale this year moves from the gallery website to the LiveAuctioneers platform on November 28 at 5:30 pm, with a preview on Sunday, November 27, from 1 to 4 pm and from 2 to 5 pm before the auction begins.

The Bert Gallery Studio Sale – Winter 2022 celebrates regional artists reflecting major art styles and art movements. Most of the paintings online are historic American painters acquired by astute collectors in the culturally rich city of Providence, the home of several important American painters and active collectors in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Century. Some highlights include five paintings and artifacts from the Antonio Cirino estate, a Josef Albers “Homage to the Square” series, a Charles Green Straw 1962 abstract, an early Anna Richards Brewster from her days on the Channel Island and a F. Usher DeVoll New York City pastel.

All of the bidding and purchasing for both auctions take place online through the Live Auctioneers platform.
