EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. — Schillaci & Shultis of Two Feathers Antiques & Auction Services will present an auction featuring the estate of Cora Brossard on February 11. This sale will provide an opportunity to acquire many antiquities, art and collectibles from the Brossard family’s longtime history and travels, the first time being offered.The sale has more than 235 lots, with very few additions added to settle other estates the auctioneers have had on hold. All items have been removed and brought to the firm’s hall where the auction will take place at 710 Columbia Turnpike (Routes 9 and 20). Highlights include a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk, which is complete with all three interior trays; an Eighteenth Century English dome top trunk with carved religious figures; an antique Chinese trunk with early Wells Fargo label and more,
Among clocks, there is an early Nineteenth Century Pennsylvania Dutch tall clock; an 1820s pillar and scroll clock by Ephriam Downes (1787-1860); an 1830s ornately carved Eli Terry Jr shelf clock; Marmaduke Storr bracket clock, etc. Furniture lots include an antique chinoiserie slant lid desk; an Eighteenth Century English raised panel stepback cupboard; an Eighteenth Century Mediterranean chamfered paneled two-door cupboard on frame; an Eighteenth Century or earlier Indonesian valuables cabinet or campaign desk; antique French bronze mounted Louis XV-style Nineteenth Century chest of draws; a rosewood Midcentury Modern Wooton-style desk and more.
The textiles category has a pre-1820 embroidered silk and satin woman’s pocket with full history; an antique Chinese embroidered silk table cover; a lot comprising antique children’s clothing; a lot of three Victorian dresses; and more.
Silver highlights include lots of sterling silver by makers like Elizabeth Cooke, Tiffany & Co, Gorham, Shreve, Cartier, Kirk & Sons and Georg Jensen — examples are a Georgian sterling silver salver by Elizabeth Cooke, circa 1760s; flatware and serving pieces by Tiffany & Co, Cartier, etc, a G. Carre Paris silverplated tea service and more.
Jewelry on offer includes a lady’s 9.4 dwt 14K yellow and rose gold brooch; a lady’s 7.6 dwt 14K white gold memorial brooch; a lady’s 5.2 dwt 18K yellow gold oval brooch; 8.0 dwt 14K white gold Deco-style brooch and more.
