Lillian August furniture will be strong in this sale with her mirrored salon tables, recamiers and upholstered pieces. Also to be offered are large marquetry cabinets, castle hall chairs, Chesterfield sofa, mahogany corner cabinets, oak document chest, KAWAI piano in ebonized case (#KS-3F). Porcelain: Canton, Rose Medallion, Belleek, Wedgwood, Royal Copenhagen, quantity of Mottahedeh. The most important articles in this auction are six (6) “Tim McCoy’s Wild West and Rough Riders Of The World” circus posters consigned by the granddaughter of one of the backers. The circus started its tour in April of 1938 and folded in three weeks, thus making these posters extremely rare.
